           RAISE A WINNER !!

Your love and encouragement now is the key to your child’s success in the future.

1.  BUILD SELF-ESTEEM – Winners in life are people who feel happy with who they are. They feel like they matter. Allow them to develop their own unique talents and special interests

2.  ENCOURAGE REAL SMARTS – To be happy people and creative problem solvers, children need to develop a love of learning. Indulge a child’s natural curiosity.

3.  REINFORCE WITH PRAISE – Praise is a “sure fire” way to raise winning kids. Knowing that you think that they do so many things well, gives them the confidence to tackle new challenges

4.  TEACH STICK-TO-IT HABITS – Even the most talented children won’t experience the joy of doing well if they don’t stick to a project.

5. DON’T MAKE EXCUSES FOR YOUR CHILD – By doing this, you make it easier for them to do what they want instead of what is required of them. Allow them to accept the consequences of their poor judgments or lack of responsibility.

6.  INSTILL SELF-EFFICIENCY – Every child should be given the encouragement to do things for themselves. Certain things should be their responsibility and no one else’s.
